I came to Spain in February this year, but having a pulmonary infection my energy levels were very low and my climbing experience was mediocre at best. I was happy to be out here, but at the same time I felt frustrated I could not climb as best as I knew I would had I been healthy. This time I feel much better!
Again I'm climbing with my Brazilian friend Felipe Camargo who is a really strong rock climber. He invited one of his friends Jakob Shubert who is a 5 time lead climbing world champion. We rented a house near one of the crags where most of our projects are.
Living with them is great and being able to share the passion and energy they both have for climbing is a bit contagious. The trip has just begun but I have learned lots from them. I hope I can improve my rock climbing skills and progress. It would be great if I could finish one of the goals I set for myself. As of now doing a couple of moves feels extremely difficult and linking 50 meters of climbing seems unfathomable. We'll see what the next few weeks will bring...
